Rob Bocchino
Guitar and Vocals
Rob Bocchino, along with Cheyanne Reese and Kristin Randles is one of the founding members of the band Just Serendipity. Originally from central New York, he first started playing in 6th grade in order to impress Peggy Finnegan, his grade school crush. That crush led to a lifetime love of the guitar and making music.
In Syracuse, he played jazz guitar, and acoustic finger style in a number of small bands. He moved to Hoboken in 2003 and connected with that town’s strong singer/songwriter community. His first album was recorded there with the help of producer/songwriter Dave Entwistle of the band Starlight Junkies.
Influenced by a wide range of finger style guitarists from Joe Papa to Michael Hedges, he sees music as a journey of never-ending learning and growth. He defines joy as being with like-minded people who love to grow and perform and come together to make music. In a recent interview he said, “Just Serendipity is the result of a shared musical vision, and it’s the place where that elusive goal of finding your voice is the closest its ever been.”
Two other facts about Rob:
1. He believes that if it’s not chocolate, it’s not dessert.
2. He is still trying to impress a crush with his guitar playing: his wife Kathy.
